His ability to sense ki could also be attributed to Piccolo meditating so often, as seen in the buu saga too.

IIRC, Goku was powering up for Karin, and he was about to break the Tower with all the chi he was exposing. Even when Tien said Goku was dimensions above him, Goku had just gone SSJ in front of him.

Kaioshin just stood there, and emulated no chi. That's why it doesn't make sense to me. And Kami did know about Kaioshin. But not from a power standpoint. Just that Kaioshin was high in the ranks.

When Piccolo forfeited the match, a little part of my childhood died. I would've expected him to fight even if he knew the odds were against him. He probably didn't fight out of respect.

Well, guidebooks say Kaioshin is stronger than Piccolo

Herms in his translation puts a note saying that Piccolo pretty much flat-out stated Kaioshin to be stronger than him.

So I think

#17 >/< Piccolo <<< Kaioshin >/< #16
Did you forget Piccolo trained in the RoSaT ;)
Why yes I did.

So Kaioshin could be Form 2 Cell tier with that.

How do we know that he's strength is only above first form frieza? Isn't frieza known not to have shown he's final form?

Friezas base is so called final form.

He made more forms for suppressing his true power.

"Chapter: 439 (DBZ 245), P12.3-4
Context: after Piccolo resigns from his and Kaioshin's match
Goku: “That much, Piccolo?...”
Piccolo: “Yeah…Our dimensions…are too different…”
Kuririn: “Yo-you’re kidding, right? Stop joking around! I-I’ve got to fight him next.”
Note: Piccolo’s line is a pretty standard way of saying that someone is stronger than you. You can find a lot of instances of people being described as in “a different dimension” throughout these quotes, like Tenshinhan talking about Super Saiyan Goku, or the narrator describing final form Freeza. In Viz the line is made vaguer (“He is a different order of being”), which makes it sound like Piccolo could just be talking about how Kaioshin is a super-god, rather than about his strength per-say. Anyway, though Piccolo is pretty much flat-out saying Kaioshin is way stronger than him here, you could still argue that he's either mistaken or lying...I guess."

Herms note about the statement says that it means Piccolo < Kaioshin

And Piccolo is obviously stronger than Freeza by now.

I have no problem accepting that Supreme Kai was stronger, just feel like Piccolo forfeiting was something that was completely out of character that was placed there for dramatic effect. Nappa was dimensions above him, same with Frieza and Imperfect Cell after absorbing a bunch of humans and Perfect Cell but he was willing to step in to save Gohan from Cell even if it meant dying, Broly if you count movies but Piccolo never gave up like that. After that I was thinking Wow Supreme Kai must be a badass but than what made it worse was that he wasn't... Piccolo is AT favorite character so I'm confused why he led him down this path in Buu Saga.

I agree. Kaioshin didn't even power up. Piccolo said he was super strong because he could sense that he was no "normal being", but Piccolo didn't even know there was a supreme Kai. There power levels are probably pretty close but I'd say Piccolo is slightly stronger.

I have him pretty powerful in term of the last arc. that's just me.

Piccolo (At Cell Junior): 11
Piccolo (At Budokai): 17
East Kaioshin (At Boo): 24

Goku (At Cell): 21
Cell (At Goku): 25
Gohan (At Cell): 31
(..., Super Saiyan 2): 62

Gohan (At Budokai): 26
(..., Super Saiyan 2): [52][1]

Kaioshin would have been able to fight Cell (At Gohan) and would have gotten trololled all the same.
[1] Brackets mean max capability without some catalyst. He probably wasn't at 52 at Kibit, and 62 would have been his max if he had been practiced, or, possibly, if he was incredibly angry.

Gohan was underpracticed; I doubt his stamina was worth anything.
